History's Playground: Unlocking the Imagination of the Next Generation
Who We Are

History’s Playground is a digital storytelling and archiving platform. It is the flagship platform of Reminisce Preservation LLC, a pioneering organization at the intersection of storytelling, education, and digital preservation. Our mission is to make history more inclusive, interactive, and accessible, especially for communities and individuals often left out of traditional narratives.

Designed for individuals, families, educators, and nonprofits, the platform offers a dynamic space to safeguard, organize, and share legacies through modern tools like interactive timelines, immersive virtual exhibits, and VR-powered visual storytelling. We provide a dynamic space to discover powerful stories, preserve important legacies, and connect through shared cultural memory.

It's more than a tool—it's a cultural movement, inviting users to explore their identities, celebrate their histories, and inspire future generations. The platform is backed by a growing network of institutions and changemakers who believe that history should be inclusive, interactive, and accessible to all. We’re redefining what a digital archive can be. Contact us to learn how we can support your story.

About Our Team

The team behind History’s Playground is a passionate group of educators, technologists, and historians with deep experience in digital archiving, culturally responsive education, and community storytelling. At the helm is Rodney Freeman Jr., a seasoned library professional bringing over 13 years of experience across academic, public, and government libraries, with specialized expertise in digital collections, taxonomy, and archival systems.

He is also the creative force behind Are You A Librarian?, a forthcoming documentary that shines a light on the untold stories of Black librarians. As the founder of Reminisce Preservation, Rodney has spent years developing tools and platforms like The Black Male Archives and Are You A Librarian?, both nationally recognized for their role in reshaping access to diverse historical narratives.

Under Rodney’s leadership, the team blends cutting-edge technology with a heartfelt commitment to equity and access. Together, they are building tools that not only preserve legacies but also empower communities to tell their own stories with dignity, security, and creativity. Whether you’re an educator looking to enhance your classroom, a family historian preserving generations of memory, or a nonprofit safeguarding community culture, you’ll find an ally in the History’s Playground team.

With expertise spanning digital humanities, education technology, archival systems, and nonprofit engagement, our team brings both innovation and empathy to everything we build. We’re here not just to preserve history—but to empower communities to own and share it. If your mission aligns with ours, we’d love to collaborate.
